Business Law

  • What it is:
    • Business Law covers the life cycle of a business from its formation to cessation of operation and everything in between. Examples of specific activities include: Deciding on the form of entity for the proposed business, drafting the necessary documents to bring the business into existence as well as filing the necessary documents with the proper government authorities. In addition, contracts need to be drafted, and employment and shareholder agreements reached as the business moves forward. During the life of the business, disputes often arise, both between business owners and between the business and customers or clients. These disputes need to be resolved expeditiously while preserving business relationships.
